The Morris County School of Technology in Denville has selected Greg Idler, as the December student of the month. Greg is a high school junior currently enrolled in the Academy for Culinary Arts.
Greg is a very serious and involved culinary student who often takes the initiative to do advanced projects. He planned, prepared and carried out a demonstration for visitors at the school’s open house this past fall. Additionally, Greg is on the Student Council, member of the National Honor Society and runs on the cross country team. Outside of school, Greg holds a cooking position at a local community lake restaurant.
The Academy for Culinary Arts at the Morris County School of Technology is a full-time, four-year high school program for students with specific interests in the areas of culinary arts, baking, and pastry. Students specialize in a variety of academy courses such as Sanitation and Food Handling, Nutrition, American Regional Cuisine, International Cuisine, and Restaurant Management. The highly-focused hands on program prepares students for post-secondary studies or careers in such areas as the hospitality industry, hotel or restaurant chef, pastry chef and baking.
