Morris County School of Technology Student’s Place in Top 10 of National French Competition
Denville, NJ (5/2/08) –Three students from the Morris County School of Technology placed in the top ten of the National French Competition, “Le Grand Concours”. This is a one-hour exam and it is the first year the Morris County School has participated in this competition.
Corinne Fitamant of Pequannock, currently a freshman enrolled in the Academy for Visual and Performing Arts, placed 8th nationally and 7th in New Jersey in Level 2. Also placing in Level 2 was Nicolas Carmona of Dover, currently a sophomore enrolled in the Academy of Networking Information and Communications. He placed 10th nationally and 9th in New Jersey. Fitamant and Carmona competed against 741 New Jersey students taking the test in Level 2. Additionally, Harold Mesa of Dover, currently a junior enrolled in the Academy of Networking Information and Communications, placed 9th nationally and in New Jersey in Level 3. Mesa competed against 648 New Jersey students taking this test in Level 3. The American Association of Teachers of French, AATF, offers the National French Competition called Le Grand Concours, which is a one-hour exam.
