Objective:

1. Students will be able to identify events that take place during Mitosis.

2. Students will articulate understanding of stages of Mitosis.

Method:

1. Students form cooperative learning groups. Each group will consist of four students.

2. Students will research topic using the internet and teacher recommended Websites.

3. Students will prepare a research paper.

4. Students will present a power-point presentation to science class.

Materials:

1. Computer Lab for whole group instruction for power-point
2. Internet Access
3. Classroom T-viator for student presentation
4. If needed, 3.5 floppy-disc
5. Computer Access
6. Printer

Assessment:

1. Teacher evaluation of research paper, Scoring Rubric
2. Student understanding of PowerPoint presentation.
