Introduction

Congratulations! You and your team from the New Jersey Tourism Department have been appointed as special task force to re-vamp the New Jersey tourism business. Your assignment is to create a successful campaign to not only draw tourists to New Jersey, but to encourage New Jerseyans to vacation in their own state! Many businesses will depend on YOU! New Jersey has something for everyone. Now, show them!

Task

You will be broken into groups of four. Your team will design a brochure as part of your advertising campaign to help draw people to New Jersey.

Procedure

Your brochure will have 8 sections, each consisting of approximately one page. These sections will be divided as follows:

The cover should be designed by the entire team.

The General Information section will be a group effort, as will NJ Fun Facts.

Each of you will contribute a part of the Famous New Jerseyans section. You may use your textbook to locate information on these individuals as well as the Internet and outside resources. You should give a brief summary (1-2 paragraphs) about the person; just enough so that we know who they are/were.

The remaining four pages (Historical Places, Family Fun, Shores/Beaches/Parks, and Sports/Culture) will be individually done. Each of you will choose one category and create a page based on some of your favorite attractions.

Your pages should include the websites that you used as well as graphics. When completed, your pages will be put together as one group brochure. Remember, this needs to attract people to New Jersey. Presentation is very important!
