The multimedia major prepares students for careers in the film industry, advertising and public relations, game design, media arts, and related fields.

Freshman year study focuses on graphic design and 2D animation, including instruction and project work in Quark XPress, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash.

Sophomore students focus on studying the art of digital cinema, analyzing film classics and creating their own short films. Students study screenwriting, storyboarding, cinematography, and digital editing and have the opportunity to work with industry professionals including guest artists funded by the New Jersey Council on the Arts.

Junior year students study independently on a career field of their choice, researching and working hands-on to further their knowledge in the field. They develop a Junior Project that showcases skills they have attained over the past three years as well as create a portfolio for use in upcoming Senior internships and jobs.
