Morris County Vocational School District: Health-Related School Closure Preparedness Plan

  • The Morris County Vocational School District (MCVSD) is committed to the health and safety of our students, families, and the school community.

In response to COVID-19 and in an effort to control the spread of the disease, Governor Murphy has ordered all New Jersey public and private schools to remain closed until further notice and health officials determine it is safe for classes to resume. Morris County School of Technology will continue to provide instruction to students in accordance with the distance learning plan (below) through the original 2-week closure period (3/13/20 - 3/27/20). Updates to the distance learning plan, which address the period beyond 3/27/20, will be shared on Friday 3/20/20.

With this plan in place, remote learning will continue. Therefore, distance learning days count toward the statutory 180-day requirement. As such, there will be no impact on the school calendar.

We will continue to utilize the Honeywell Instant Alert System and this section of the MCVSD website to communicate significant changes and updates as they occur.
