Special Education Parent Advisory Group (SEPAG)
The Morris County Vocational School District's SEPAG was formed to satisfy the New Jersey Department of Education mandate:
Each district board of education is charged under the New Jersey Special Education Code to ensure that a special education parent advisory group is in place to provide input to the district on issues concerning students with disabilities.
What is SEPAG?
SEPAG is a group of volunteer parents and guardians of students with disabilities who work with Morris County School of Technology's administration and teachers to provide input to the Board of Education. SEPAG helps parents become better informed about Special Education in our district. SEPAG provides resources and support for families of students who require an IEP and special services while at school. SEPAG benefits the broader community in that it considers the needs of a child as part of the Morris County Vocational School District community.
How does SEPAG work?
SEPAG meetings provide, but are not limited to, information on how to read an IEP, what channels to go through if you have questions and concerns about your child's education and services, knowing your child's and family's legal rights and how to handle transitions for your child.
