Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAG)
The Morris County Vocational School District's SEPAC was formed to satisfy the New Jersey Department of Education mandate:
Each district board of education is charged under the New Jersey Special Education Code to ensure that a special education parent advisory group is in place to provide input to the district on issues concerning students with disabilities.
What is SEPAG?
SEPAC is a group of volunteer parents and guardians of students with disabilities who work with Morris County School of Technology's administration and teachers to provide input to the Board of Education and serve as a support group by giving information to other parents of the district. SEPAC helps parents become better informed about Special Education in our district. We provide resources and support for families of students who require an IEP and special services while at school.
How does SEPAG work?
SEPAC meetings provide, but are not limited to, information on how to read an IEP, what channels to go through if you have questions and concerns about your child's education and services, what you can do about bullying, knowing your child's and family's lega rights and how to handle transitions for your child.
