    Located at Morris County School of Technology, Denville

    The Electrical Trades program exposes students to the essential concepts and principles of residential and commercial electrical systems.  Students learn the knowledge and skills required to perform the functions of an electrician. Upon completion, students have the opportunity to advance their studies and pursue apprenticeship through participation in Continuing Education at MCVSD or Pennsylvania College of Technology. Through articulation agreements, students may begin the post-secondary program with advanced standing.

    Morris County high school students in 10th grade may apply for their 11th and 12th-grade year.

Mr. Kevin Conover

After graduating from Morris County School of Technology, Mr. Conover attended the apprenticeship program in the evenings to pursue his electrical contractor license.  Since starting his business in 2004, he has given guidance to clients about their renovation decisions.  In 2008, Mr. Conover was asked to join the electrical apprenticeship evening program as an instructor.  With the love of education, in 2013, Mr. Conover joined the high school electrical trades program, creating work-ready students upon graduation. From being a Lead Teacher to Achievement Coach to Department Chair for Share-Time, Mr. Conover always looks to be an example to the students that learning is never done.

    Year 1 Students: Morning Session 8:00 - 10:50 am
    Year 2 Students: Afternoon Session 12:10 - 2:50 pm


    Students earn: 20 Career and Technical Education credits per school year
