Anatomy & Physiology (A&P)

Anatomy and Physiology is the study of the structure and function of the human body. This course follows a sequential development of the major body systems in an organized and structured curriculum that builds off of the foundational content that students learn in the medical terminology course. A&P is designed to give the students an overview of human anatomical structure and an analysis of human physiological principles. Labs will include slide work, dissection of various animals, and studies of the human skeleton. The course will also use computer-simulated dissection and the Anatomage Table, which features several digitized, full human cadavers, case studies, high-definition scans and much more.

Clinical Practicum

The purpose of this course is to expose Academy for Health Care Students to the clinical setting. In this course, students learn how to interact with patients on location at one of our partner facilities. Students are also able to shadow a variety of health care professionals who care for the patients and/or residents in our partner facilities.
