Fundamental Requirements

The Academy for Mathematics, Science, and Engineering integrates comprehensive STEM concepts with rigorous engineering design practices. Students develop expertise in theoretical knowledge application, practical problem-solving, and innovative solution development while exploring mathematics, science, and engineering principles through both classroom study and hands-on project-based learning experiences.

Applicants applying to the Academy for Math, Science, and Engineering must be in Algebra 1 during the admissions window and complete the course by the end of the eighth-grade academic year or have previously taken Algebra 1 in school. If your Middle School does not offer Algebra 1, please find acceptable alternatives below:

*At the end of high school, AMSE students must have earned a minimum of 170 credits in order to graduate as well as complete a 100 hour internship in STEM.
