Deirdre Romero, an instructor for the Academy for Global Commerce at Morris County School of Technology, has been nominated for National Life Group’s 2024-25 LifeChanger of the Year award. Sponsored by the National Life Group Foundation, LifeChanger of the Year recognizes and rewards the very best K-12 educators and school district employees across the United States who are making a difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence, and leadership.
Romero was nominated by her principal, Mark Menadier, for her dedication to student success. She leads students in the Virtual Enterprises International and DECA competitions, with her team winning the international VEI championship last year.
"Mrs. Romero goes above and beyond for her students, providing support inside and outside the classroom," said Menadier. "Her impact extends beyond academics, teaching students values like compassion and confidence. We are so fortunate to have Mrs. Romero as part of the faculty at MCST."
