Cybersecurity & Information Protection Students Attended the Alice Cyberspace Event

Students from Morris County Vocational School District's Share Time Cybersecurity and Information Protection Program (CSIP) participated in the Alice in Cyberspace event, a captivating initiative sponsored by NJCCIC at Kean University.

The 2024 Alice in Cyberspace conference is dedicated to empowering women to pursue fulfilling careers in cybersecurity. With a diverse lineup of speakers representing different stages in their cybersecurity journeys, students had the chance to hear from leaders in national security, New Jersey's Chief Information Security Officer, successful company founders, and more. The event went beyond inspiring talks, featuring a dynamic career fair that connected our students with educational opportunities and career guidance.

Ten students from the CSIP program, ranging from their first to second years, attended the event and even interacted with industry leaders such as Grace Chi, Co-founder and COO of Pulsedive. Additionally, during a lunch session, they gained valuable insights into national security from Lauren Zabierek, a Senior Advisor in the Cybersecurity Division at CISA. Our students departed with a bag full of swag from the career fair, making the event both educational and exciting.
