In honor of Deaf History Month, today we celebrate Eleanor Zabel Willhite. Born in 1892, she was the first deaf woman to earn a pilot’s license. She participated in air shows, races, and county fairs, and until 1944, she worked as a commercial pilot carrying airmail.

Today’s quote is by Goldie Hawn. Born in 1945, she is known as an actress and producer. She got her start in acting on the 1968 sketch comedy show called Laugh In. She has starred in many roles on screen and continues to be an influential actress! Her quote today says:

"I've come to believe that seeking happiness is not a frivolous pursuit. It's honorable and necessary. And most people forget even to think about it."
